I meditate.

Instead of focusing solely on breath & body, I bring questions to the mat to contemplate.

Today, like most days, my question was about reconciliation.

Two truths.

Two paths.

One is something I don't want to let go of.

Another is one I want to grow more into.

I was swiftly reminded we don't always get both.

Sometimes the things we're holding onto are products of the conditioning we're trying to grow out of.

Sometimes, discovering what it means to thrive requires us to first discover how to put the fight for survival down.

It can be as simple as stepping out of the ring.

But you can't stay in & be surprised when you get your shit wrecked.

It doesn't work like that.

We don't always get both.

And that's okay.
