How exactly does it work?

To paint the picture, I lead in the beginning, welcoming you in with some expectation-setting, questions (goals, challenges, boundaries & preferences, etc.).

You'll also get access to my calendar to book a call time that works for you.

After that initial convo, you'll get some initial "homework" or an idea to try which kicks off the support. From there, you get to take the lead in reaching out as you need me & continue the journey.

This usually happens when clients hit a stuck point, want a second opinion, or even just to vent.

Some clients do that a few times a week, some check in once a week-ish and we go a little deeper. You get to use it the way you want to.

What are the boundaries around contacting you?

My Do Not Disturb game is astronomical, therefore:

You get to speak on what you need to as things come up. I reply in a reasonable timeframe. That could be quick, especially if your message is short. Or up to about 3 days for longer messages and/or messages that fall around the weekend.

How will the Zoom calls work compared to SMS?

We'll hop on two calls per month to do more in-depth coaching for whatever you're working through right now.

It's a great space to go deeper into the big themes and patterns you want to change, unpack those, and give you some practical steps (homework) to focus on until the next call.

It's also a great space to align goals for how you want to use the support to begin with.

We'll do a fair bit of both.

How do you view your role as a coach?

A large part of my role is bringing things like experience, education, resources etc. to the table. I do plenty of that. I don't sit on the sidelines and let you vent. I'll offer suggestions and observations, but that's not the most important thing.

I'm very strong in my belief that my role is not to tell you who to be, how to live, how to heal, what to believe, or what to do.

My role is to support you in discovering your own answers to those questions that feel good, true, and healthy to you.

The most important part of my job is to support you in listening to yourself and trusting yourself to make the choices that are right for you.

I'll give you plenty of info and material for inspiration - but that's all it is. The question is what comes up for you with the material you're getting. That is where we find clues to lead us to your own truth.

What's your coaching style/vibe?

I hear from clients that I am who they expected me to be. I haven't asked what that means but it seems to be a good & comforting thing haha.

Non-judgment and empathy are huge for me. Especially when I'm challenging you, which I'm not shy about.

There's something magical about asking really good questions that get you thinking about your own answers.

I strive to hear and understand what you're really experiencing and what you want before offering suggestions and feedback.

I love acknowledging your progress & the steps you're taking as you take them.

Every once in a while you'll get a private monologue out of me that'll feel like it's directly from spirit. It probably was. Keep that if it feels right.

What's different about you as a coach?

I own my humanity. I don't over-shoot my "authority" in this position because I believe our biggest issue in this work is our (coaches & therapists) inability to own our humanity to begin with.

You'll hear me say things like, "I could be wrong, but I feel like I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't at least ask..."

Or even, "Let me know if I'm projecting but something's telling me to say this just in case it feels true for you..."

If I make an observation I'll often ask if what I'm describing feels true to you, because that's what matters. If it doesn't we get rid of it. I'm not pressed to be right. My goal is to support you in finding what feels right for you.

My job is to be a part of the reason you feel seen, heard, & well supported.
